The Candle Store
We search the world for unique vintage containers to transform into bespoke candles in your choice of scent.
About Our Candles
Every month we debut a new group unique and original vintage containers to be transformed into custom candles.
We look for vessels that will hold a volume of wax safely, have a style that fits our grit and glam vibe and have so much character and intrinsic value they will be an object you cherish long after the burn is done.
Each candle is made with plant-based, clean-burning soy wax and a natural cotton wick. We scent them with a minimum of 10% by volume fragrance and hand-pour into your choice of classic recyclable glass cylinders or repurposed vintage containers.
How To Order
Your candle is custom made and so will not be poured until your order is placed.

Candle Care
If you’re wondering how to make your candles last longer, here’s a handy candle care guide.
-
When burning your scented candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the candle wax melts completely into liquid wax. When burning the candle after the first burn, do not let it burn for over 3 hours at a time.
-
Keep candle wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the scented candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the melted wax. After each burn, make sure the candle wick is centered in the wax. The wick and flame should never be touching the glass.
-
Never leave a lit candle unattended or let it burn for more than 4 hours at a time. A lit candle should also only be placed on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets. When approaching the end of the candle, leave ¼ inch of wax unburned and ensure you are not burning the candle for more than 3 hours. The glass can get overheated without the presence of wax and break.
